£5,000 donation to FareShare Sussex and Surrey

FareShare Sussex and Surrey supports people in our city from a variety of demographics including children, isolated elderly people, victims of domestic violence, refugees and asylum seekers, homeless people, those fighting addiction, disabled people, ex-offenders and low-income families. Its 150 volunteers drive food delivery vans and e cargo bikes, maintain the warehouse and sort food. Last year, the organisation diverted 1,500 tonnes of food from being thrown into landfill.
