Impact Initiatives run The Hop 50+ community centre in central Hove, from where the minibus enables older people to join day trips to local attractions, enjoy lunches in the countryside, and connect with others.
Clients are often vulnerable and many live alone. The low-cost day trips offer far more than an outing; they provide friendship, stimulation, and a vital connection to the wider community. For many, it is their only opportunity to visit places beyond their immediate neighbourhood, in a safe and accessible way.
